Day 112/365
“… He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]“ (Heb 13:5 AMPC)
I remember being told a story of a couple of ladies that used to visit the prison chaplaincy of a high security prison in order to offer prayer and support to the prisoners.
One of the lady’s told me that one day she witnessed a huge bull of a guy being accompanied by two guards. When he saw the ladies he suddenly shrugged both his guards off his arms and breaking away, stared charging towards them!
The lady telling me the story said she froze and just cringed in fear against a wall whereas the other lady just turned, raised a finger towards the charging man and said calmly “let me finish praying with this man, and I’ll be with you in a few minutes.“
The big guy then suddenly fell down at their feet as if ‘something’ had pole axed him! The two guards he had shrugged off then caught up with him and began dragging him into an empty cell.
The ladies then came in to the cell and spoke kindly to him. Apparently he was actually a ‘Pastor’s son’ who had taken ‘many‘ wrong roads. To the guards amazement he just blurted out all his ‘sins’ and wanted to come back to Jesus and ‘Peace!’
We all have choices in our prayers - health, wealth, happiness, peace, etc., but how many of us are brave enough to ask for ‘adventures’ in Christ! ❤️
