Day 104/365

“For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” (Mat ‭6:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬)

Easter is all about GOD‘s forgiveness - His setting the world right with himself through the sacrificial blood of his son Jesus.

No one (in their right mind), can ever say that forgiveness is an easy accomplishment … I’ve been listening to a powerful testimony of how a Holocaust survivor from Auschwitz finally understood the power of forgiveness and became set free from their hurt, anger and bitterness, after 50 years!

I then got thinking what Jesus told us about forgiveness and got caught up with our communion (our common union) with Him:

On the night he was betrayed by his friend Judas, “Jesus said, “The one who hands me over is someone I eat with daily, one who passes me food at the table. In one sense the Son of Man is entering into a way of treachery well-marked by the Scriptures—no surprises here. In another sense that man who turns him in, turns traitor to the Son of Man—better never to have been born than do this!” Then Judas, already turned traitor, said, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” Jesus said, “Don’t play games with me, Judas.”

“During the meal, Jesus took and blessed the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples: Take, eat. This is my body. Taking the cup and thanking God, he gave it to them: Drink this, all of you. This is my blood, God’s new covenant poured out for many people for the forgiveness of sins.” (Mat‬ ‭26:23-29‬ ‭MSG‬‬)

Holy Spirit help me not to judge and condemn. Help me to understand what having a ‘common union’ with you really means. Amen. ❤️

Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God
