That’s why I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times. The created world itself can hardly wait for what’s coming next. Everything in creation is being more or less held back. God reins it in until both creation and all the creatures are ready and can be released at the same moment into the glorious times ahead. Meanwhile, the joyful anticipation deepens. (Rom 8:18). All around I see and hear doom and gloom and yet when I loo
I’m praying not only for them But also for those who will believe in me Because of them and their witness about me. The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, So they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me. The same glory you gave me, I gave them, So they’ll be as unified and together as we are—I in them and you in me. Then they’ll be mature in this oneness, And gi
…this day is holy to our Lord. And be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold. (Neh 8:10). Just 2 things – because we have been ‘set apart‘ (made holy), then every one of our days are holy to The Lord, ergo He wants to be Glorified through us EVERYDAY! And for me, I try my best to listen for ‘His’ derisory laughter against those things that come against me. That way the Joy of The Lord gives ME strength! X #loveinaction #despair #str
…God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. Live an exemplary life among the natives so that your actions will refute their prejudices. Then they’ll be won over to God’s side and be there to join in the celebration when he arrives. I came tired and heavy laden, dry and grimy, the light of Jesus dim within me. Wooed and led to this pool by His gentle voice. Expectant, but apprehensive. Excited, yearning. “Lord,” I had cried, “I want you to break me, to cleanse me, refresh me. To put your arms around me. To embrace Your bride and whisper words of love to me … I miss you Lord, please hurry … find me!” “I remember the times when I soared with Eagles wings, Every sinew alive, pulsating. I felt that the next part of the walk was a lot harder. Bottom line is that Chemotherapy is cumulative, which means that each cycle builds upon the strength of the last one – I was getting very tired and actually told the doctors that at this rate it wouldn’t be the cancer that would take me, but the treatments! Anyway, at the end of my 6th Chemo a further CT Scan showed that I still had some remnant in my groin and the doctors decided to continue with 2 further treatments.
