… you asked GOD for help and he gave you the victory. GOD is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him. (2 Chron 16:8) I’m sure we’ve all heard stories of people who have given their last penny in a church offering and GOD (somehow) gave them back many pounds. Well … I remember that it happened to me too! We’d just moved to a town over 250 miles away from our families so that I could study under the awesome Teacher John McKay
“Don’t be afraid,” he said, “for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!” As he spoke these words to me, I suddenly felt stronger and said to him, “Please speak to me, my lord, for you have strengthened me.” (Dan 10:19) This isn’t about Angels, or even believing that they can impart strength to us … this is about understanding a fabulous and foundational truth, one that has been underscored by Jesus Himself – YOU are very precious to GOD! The devil,
Before you do anything, put your trust totally in God and not in yourself. Then every plan you make will succeed. (Prov 16:3) It’s been 6 weeks since most resolutions were made and most have already hit the dust …! This reminds me of a sign I saw: “IT’S BEEN SIX MONTHS SINCE I JOINED THE GYM AND NO PROGRESS. I’M GOING THERE IN PERSON TOMORROW TO SEE WHAT’S GOING ON! If we want to succeed then we have to engage – or at least turn up! ❤️ #health #answeredprayers #grace #wor
Lord, who dares to dwell with you? Who presumes the privilege of being close to you, living next to you in your shining place of glory? Who are those who daily dwell in the life of the Holy Spirit? (Psa 15:1) I’d just left Bible College and we were offered a break with some other students in the south of France. Anyway, the Pastor of a small Church asked me to speak some words of words of encouragement at the Sunday service. We all prayed most of the night and I was excited.
Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! (Psa 27:14) Why do we give up – because we want our own way? Why are we impatient – because we’re selfish and want it now! Why do we separate ourselves from our entwinement – because we’ve learned nothing from Eve and like her, we can be easily led. Why do we need to b
(Jesus speaking) “The person who loves his life and pampers himself will miss true life! But the one who detaches his life from this world and abandons himself to me, will find true life and enjoy it forever! If you want to be my disciple, follow me and you will go where I am going. And if you truly follow me as my disciple, the Father will shower his favour upon your life.” (John 12:25) How to find true life – and GOD’s favour. ❤️ #health #answeredprayers #grace #worship #lo
Jesus said, “…Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s kingdom.” “How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above’ talk?” Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, th
…all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].
It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the messag
Let not mercy and kindness [shutting out all hatred and selfishness] and truth [shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood] forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart. [Col. 3:9-12.]
So shall you find favor, good understanding, and high esteem in the sight [or judgment] of God and man. [Luke 2:52.] (Prov 3:3)

… the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]. (Isaiah 30:18)
Yessss! Happy are
Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore. (Psalm 105:4). Papà says: “Child of Mine, don’t try and do this on your own anymore. Let Me help you.” X #grace #seek #help #HolySpirit #hope #love #favour #mercy #God #Jesus
This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence with
You’ve come to Jesus, who presents us with a new covenant, a fresh charter from God. He is the Mediator of this covenant. The murder of Jesus, unlike Abel’s—a homicide that cried out for vengeance—became a proclamation of grace. (Heb 12:24). The older I get the more I see that people still think of Grace as being some sort of spiritual lottery and that unless we’re visibly ‘doing Christian stuff’ and therefore jumping up and down like the donkey on Shrek screaming ‘pick me! P
UNDERSTAND THIS – some of the people you can’t stand right now are the very ones who’ll mature you! Have you been praying for patience? Then get ready for trouble! There’s no other way to get it. Patience grows in the soil of adversity. How do you test the strength of an anchor? By exposing it to the fury of a storm ! Our problem is we pray for things but don’t recognise the answer when it comes! Here’s how it works: You ask God for strength – and He allows you to go thr
